VOTE DAY

It was cool. I feel so adult. So...American...so....educated! Its not my RIGHT, its my responsibility! The choices -WE- make will determine what MY son (and other children) are going to be left to take care of. We HAVE to make those decisions to ensure THEIR freedom. It angers me to see someone say they're not going to vote. How incredibly irresponsible. Of course, there are those who can't get off work, or moved and do not have an update Voter's registration card...but other than that, purposely NOT doing it? Totally Grrrrr.

Anyhow, it was also great to see Colton get all those old biddies at the community center to eat out of his hand. How he does it...I will never know! They flock to him like moths to a flame, and he just grins and holds up two fingers...and tells them "HOWDY MA'AM" and "Have a good day!" Too dang cute!

We had to head to the ENT yesterday. Last week, Colton's ears had this NASTY, thick, caramelly earwax, and pain. Now, for those of you how don't remember, he had PE ear tubes put in March '07 for chronic ear infections. Anyway, yesterday doc said that he has fluid in the right one, and had to use some vacuum thing to suck out all the "ear boogers". That, Colton handled like a champ. The Doc's assistant told him they were squirrels talking to him, and he L-O-V-E-D it!!!

But now we have ear drops to twice a day, and with only two doses of those, some nasty greenish-yellowish discharge has come out of his right ear....and it stinks. Ewww. Here's hoping that they stay in through the duration of the winter and we don't go through the ear infection thing again.

Tomorrow I am taking my history exam early, then a french test at 11. Then I'm done for the week! I am missing class on Friday, because we are heading to Uvalde to go to Cody's 10 year High School reunion in Carrizo Springs over the weekend.
