Crafty Crafts!

We made a Turkey Train today. Why a train and not a garland? Well, because Colton is obessed with trains. Any kind of train. Its the only thing that exists in his little innocent world. So...its a turkey train that goes "woo wooo gobble gobble!"

I traced his hand, cut it out, seven times and tediously made several little feathers, rubbed a glue stick on each of the fingers, waited for Colton to pick out and put feathers on each one, then we glued some on the back just to fill it in.

Cutting out the little red gobbler thingies was the hardest part, but we glued those and the eyes on. Then made a silver glittery wing, used a hole-puncher, tied them together, and hung them up. But the glued on feathers were heavy and made the turkies hang upside down, so we taped pennies on the back....and Wa-La! One turkey train for one very pleased little boy....who ran outside to tell Daddy to come inside and look at what he had made when Cody came home from work. Precious. Fun. and Worth It.
