Kindergarten, here we come...

Today we stopped by Colton's new school to make sure everything got moved over from Pre-K.  (He is in the same district but the school he goes to now does not have pre-k, so now we're moving back into our zone for kinder).

That being said, kinder is a whole new realm of school.  My baby will be gone ALL DAY!!! Pre-k was so short- drop him off, hit the gym for an hour, shower, go pick him up.

We came home with a list of things he should know, and he masters all but 3 of them (shirt buttons and shoe tying and his address).

Just a little more than 2 weeks until KINDERGARTEN!!!  Colton is "alot of nervous", as he says, but I know he'll be okay once we get past the first day.

A benefit of not landing a teaching job: I can take my baby to his first day of kinder, and be home to hear ALL about it when it is over.  Tyler and I will get some time together just us.  I had 3 1/2 years with Colton, and now I get some one-on-one with Tyler!

I am going to substitute though, to help out with the finances.  Also, it will provide me with some experience, and an opportunity to build some references.  I guess I will test for additional certifications so I am more marketable to launch my career next year.

Big changes- not exactly in the order we had planned on them happening- but God has it laid out for us and He will lead us where we're supposed to go.  He will take care of us!

Maybe it's His plan for me to gradually transition into being a working mom- after 5 1/2 years at home- and to get that so desperately craved alone time with Tyler.
