The day has come! Colton started Kindergarten. My baby, in school...all day! Pre-k was so fun... and I know Kinder will be too, but this is like... official, required.
I'm happy to report that kindergarten is going great. The district is doing a little teacher shuffeling due to too many kids in 4th grade, and Colton's class will get a new teacher tomorrow, but they all seem to be okay with it.
He's making new friends and came home today with his shirt on backwards. Apparently he & another boy turned their shirts backwards because "it's cool to be funny, mom!".... uh-oh! class clown!!!!
The neighbor girl across the street is in his class, as well as a little boy I babysat briefly last fall. He has other classmates from pre-k last year and friends from church in the other kinder classes that he plays with at recess!
He woke up nice and early Monday morning, ate his waffle, got dressed, spiked his hair... and obliged me for some photos...
I miss him when he's gone, but I am SO excited to see how far he'll go in the world.
Goodbye, baby, hello school aged kid.
