I'd like to get a camcorder. Since Colton was born, mostly any video I've done is through a point and shoot camera- with the exception of a few things done on a camcorder that took a mini high 8 tape! My point and shoot's days are numbered, and I carry my big camera around more than anything anyway.
I don't even know where to start, but I do know that I'd like one that records to dvd or mini dvd, as I actually want VIDEOS. I don't know what's a good price for one, what brands are best, etc. I'd like to stick around the $200 range- if that's even reasonable. We'll probably get another point and shoot later in the year, but I want videos of my kiddos!

I can see why you'd need one with an older kiddo, but we bought a really nice Sony camcorder before the girls were born and we've used it twice... both times while they were still in the hospital! Pathetic huh. I only use my point-and-shoot for video. I think I'd like the one we have if I used it! Good luck!
