So, lets see, since the 22nd of January: we enjoyed the week or two of FABULOUS weather by puttin on our tennis shoes and trying out different parks. The boys slept EXCELLENT those few days! Tyler didn't "play" but he loved the outdoors as much as big bro! Colton ran around like the monkey he is, climbing, sliding, swinging, digging, getting dirty!
Colton also had his 4 year well check up on 1/27. He was very nervous going to the doctor this time, but in the end, he survived and doesn't have to go back for another whole year! =P He is 31.6 pounds and 40 inches tall- tall and skinny! Poor kid has adjustable waist jeans cinched all the way in! Oh dang, now I can't remember if it was 31 or 32... hmmmm shame on me! He had to get three shots, which is what he was nervous about, but it wasn't anything a new hotwheel and a trip to the park didn't fix!
Colton also had a photo shoot for his bday, mom got some photo practice in too, here's some shots of that day:
Tyler turned 5 months old on the 25th. I know, I know, I can't believe it either. Some days he acts like he wants to sit up on his own, other days, he doesn't really care to try! He has two "solids" meals a day, but sometimes he's too hungry to wait on that spoon for breakfast. Like this morning for example, so I guess we'll try his breakfast at lunch time, when he has a little more patience. We've tried all the stage 1 veggies, and he loves sweet potatoes and peas. We've started fruits and he loves applesauce and bananas! Both of my boys are banana-loving monkies! He has two teeth, squeals at pictures of Colton, cried when I left him with Aunt Katie for a couple hours this past weekend, and blow raspberries. He STILL wakes up twice a night- once between 1 and 2 AM and again between 5 and 6 AM. At least he's starting to get used to bedtime, and I am getting a couple hours to veg out in front of the TV between 9 and 10:30PM. Oh, he's finally decided to reach out for toys on his own, and everything goes straight for his mouth!
Of course I did pictures on his birthday... a week ago! My baldy, AKA Chuck, as in Charlie Brown, or P.Pa calls him Elmer, Elmer Fudd.
Just for fun, feetsies:
In other news, we started going to church! It felt so good to be there. I really enjoyed the environment, as did Colton. Its a church with families our family's age, lots of kids, lots of young couples. Fun, relaxed, enjoyable worship! And a bonus: the boys look ADORABLE in church clothes (which, we were over dressed in these!)
Okay, I'm pretty certain I've exceeded my computer time, judging by Tyler's increasingly louder complaints over there in the swing, so I better log off, hopefully to be back sooner than two more weeks! Have fun reading all of this!!!
