There is a new windfarm going up just outside of town here. Cody took us for a drive a few nights ago, and I snapped quite a few photos, but it was just a little too much on the dark end of sunset, so not many came out. I'll wait a few more weeks then go back out. We can see them from our back porch now, so it shouldn't be too long before they're all up and running.

This second picture, while again just on the dark end of sundown, just... sums up the weather lately. Hot. Dry. Desolate. We need rain. There is usually corn just about ready to come out of the ground all around the windfarms, as far as you can see. It wasn't even put into the ground this year. The few fields that did get planted... died. Not just faired badly, DIED. I don't know that I've EVER seen dead corn crops.
