Well, yesterday I spent two hours in my doctor's office and 6 1/2 in Labor & Delivery triage. My blood pressure readings were through the roof.
I had labwork done as well as an ultrasound. Good news is that Tyler is perfect. No distress, no danger, the placenta and all that fun biological stuff is perfect. He even showed off his gender. LOL
My labs are great, no protein, I'm not "toxemic". I just have pregnancy induced hypertension. I got one med via IV, and BP went down a little. A little while later we doubled that dose and I took something else by mouth, and with in 20 minutes we were seeing results. After about an hour of that, I was finally let to go home!
I came home with a prescription and put on bed rest instead of "just taking it easy".
I feel different, so I hope the meds are working. I'd really, really rather stay home on the couch watching movies with Colton than I would spend a week or two in the hospital. I'm going to heed doctor's orders, and just snuggle down on the couch with my baby.
We may be having Tyler sooner than expected though, just for my health! But I hope the meds work, and we get 2-3 more weeks.
