Okay, I know this isn't exactly July 4th, but we were ready and in the spirit!
July 4, 2006. Colton was just over 5 months old! Look at his kee-kee (blankie), it was only a few days old! You should see it now. (hmm another post- history of kee-kee)
July 4, 2007. It rained ALL day. We waited till after dark for the city of Corpus to decide if the show would go on, which it didn't. Probably a good thing, seeing as how our road and driveway flooded to knee-deep!
But, they did the show the next night. It was this night I decided to not attend any "downtown events" on my own with a baby without Cody again! I had to walk several city blocks back to the car by myself. It was pretty scary! Colton was 17 months old!
July 4, 2008. Cody was working again, but I had my membership to the aquarium, so we were in a safe-to-be-by-ourselves kind of place. It did take me three hours to drive the 2.5 miles from the aquarium to the highway though. Colton chewed open a glow necklace (and I didn't know if they were non-toxic) in the carseat...but we were safe!
July 4, 2009. We got our perfect spot at the aquarium again! Its a front-row seat (literally) for the show! They shoot the fireworks off the USS Lexington.
Cody was off this year!!! HOORAY!!! (excuse the double chin I got going on there! LOL)

Hey, when you make a three year old sit in the grass for 2 1/2 hours, you gotta come up with ANYTHING to keep them entertained!Stay tuned! I've got fireworks pictures coming up! Hopefully by tonight!!!
