Last Saturday, we were NOT going to waste the gorgeous weather, and headed out to Goose Island in Rockport/Lamar for the day... when we got there, we saw a little critter, then spent the majority of the visit educating the boys on the Texas Parks & Wildlife officers' jobs and that it was dangerous for the domesticated 'coon to live in the wild on his own.
The boys climbed some trees and stomped around, but I made them pose for some pictures first!

After tree climbing, we headed into town and enjoyed a packed picnic lunch and took the long way home with the windows down. When we got home, we were blessed with RAIN the remainder of the weekend! Thank you LORD, your cool blessing was greatly received!!!
