probably no pics, I'm jotting down what we've been up to while waiting for a pot of water to boil...
Boy, we have had a crazy summer, and it's only a month in! Bittersweet to think that "summer" really will only last 3 months for us, since we have a school calendar now!
We've been spending alot of time at home, and have had several visitors this past month. My sister Sarah, my friend Julie and her husband and brother, and our good long time friends Jeff and Sara came down- their first baby is due Jul 17 and they wanted out of the house before baby came!
The boys and I have been enjoying the complex pool, bike rides, Lowe's and Home Depot project Saturdays, story time on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the library, evenings at any park of our choice (great part of where we live- so many parks!), and now thanks to a renewed aquarium membership- the aquarium and their new splash park area. Great, free way to cool off for a few hours! It's nearby too, so it's virtually no gas spent to travel.
When the boys are sleeping, I am busy wrapping up my online training for my certification. I've applied for my probationary certification, been fingerprinted, typed up a resume, and applied for any open job in a 25-30 mile radius. I still try to make it to the gym each weekday morning, but there's just not enough time! I've also done a few paid photography sessions, so my own photos have taken a back seat to editting and posting, thankfully, they're digital and will be waiting and ready for me when I am done with my course.
If I stick with my own schedule, I will have all the training courses done this weekend, then I have to watch a few online videos of real classrooms for observation. THEN I will catch up on photos, then get back to work on my portfolio for interviews.
I still haven't been called for an interview, but there's still a little less than 2 months left till school starts....
well, water is boiling... be back to update soon! (Cody's still around here too, don't worry!)
