Rockport beach

Last weekend our other sister, Sarah, came down.  We hung out in Corpus just for fun, window shopping and eating chik fil a.  The next day we went to Rockport Beach.  We had never been, even though we've lived here nearly 7 years.  I have to say, I LOVED it!  It was so clean and the water wasn't awful with abusive waves and dangerous rip tides.  There were actually a few fluffly clouds that blocked the sun for little snipets at a time.  AND a few sprinkles tickled our backs for a few minutes.  They felt like hail pelting us because our skin was so warm and the tiny rain drops were cold!

We could walk out in the water so far, it never got too deep, Tyler could walk nearly the whole time.  I just loved this beach! No dogs are allowed, so we'll still go to Port Aransas too, so miss Sheila dog can chase those seagulls.

the clouds were AMAZING!

the boys just loved wading around to their hearts' content!

THEN we had a mini emergency.  My sisters, the boys, and I wanted to see how far we could venture out in the water.  The girls kept going and I decided the boys and I should head back in.  On the way in, Colton says "ouch Momma, I think something bit me" .  I picked him up in one arm (holding Tyler in the other), and his entire foot and ankle were bright red.  The water was too deep for Tyler to walk so I kind of pulled Colton along as he let his feet float behind us.  We get out of the water and yep, he was stung by a jelly fish!!!  Thankfully, there were some more knowledgeable locals nearby that said it just looked like a graze, and it was a Moon Jelly- not a Portugeuse Man O'War!  We rinsed the sting off and packed up and headed home.  We put benadryl cream on the sting and it never bothered Colton at all.  He never even cried at ALL related to the sting.

Here he is a bit grumpy about having to get out of the water and pack up to head home

Then he thought it was funny that I was taking pictures of his toes, silly boy!
