Kick off to summer

Colton got out of school May 26.  May 27 we had the durango LOADED down for a fun weekend!  First we stopped at my cousin's HS graduation in Devine, she is the last first cousin to graduate, and the last one on my mom's side of the family, until Colton!!!  She graduated a WHOLE year early, and was in the top 10% of her class!

Way to go Alyssa!!!

We changed the boys into pj's at Aunt Martha's house and headed up to the northside of Austin to spend Memorial Day weekend with Cody's extended family.  I didn't take too many pictures because I was either in the pool or supervising my kids around the pool the whole weekend.  I do believe Colton sprouted gills though, he had to be FORCED to get out of the water!

We swam, ate yummy food, stayed up late, and had a family ladder golf/bean bag competition.  My partner and I played Cody and his partner for the bean bag championship!  Unfortunately we lost, but I was pretty proud, because I am normally the sit-around spectator of the games.  Cody and his partner, Chris, won the whole tournament!

Tyler HATES the baby floatie, but the arm floaties weren't enough to keep him above water.  This is a good compromise!

I shouldn't have asked him to say "cheese" when he was eating watermelon, I clearly interrupted him!

Tyler is sporting Aunt Lindsey's sun hat!
After coming home, and I took my test, we spent the week relaxing- so much summer fun in the first weekend, wore us out!  We did get out and enjoy the coolness of the evenings at our favorite park.

Since then, we've enjoyed story time at the public library, we're participating in the summer reading program, Aunt Sarah came down for a visit & we explored at new beach (that post is next), and gone to a baseball game.  This weekend we have more friends visiting (2 sets!), and the boys and I will be going to Uvalde June 21-23.  We also have the Cars 2 premiere on our calendar.  Lightning and Mater rule our house, and we are NOT wasting one minute to see that movie!
