Selfish

We all have our moments, right?

I want to meet Tyler. I've pretty much got everything except for diapers and the new attachments for my breast pump. While my weight and BP have been in great shape thus far (and I haven't gained much weight), and this pregnancy is FAR easier than my first...I can't wait for it to be over.

Besides the obvious of meeting my newest man to love, I've got more personal reasons. I can't wait to loose weight. I was working hard on losing my "Colton weight", but Mother Nature took over and convinced me to try to get pregnant before I was at my goal weight.

I actually made it in some pictures this week, and my gosh, I could cry. I hate the way I look. Cody, of course the best husband he is, says I am perfect the way I am. I don't believe him.

So, quite selfishly, I can't wait to deliver my little man- get a nice new clean c-section scar (its been discussed in detail by me and my OB- my first scar is hidieous)/ I hope that I am my pre-Tyler pregnancy weight short weeks after he is here, and I hope breastfeeding works and is a miracle weight loss tool like I read about from other women.

When I had Colton, I lost all my pregnancy weight by the time I made my 6 week post-partum check up, without breastfeeding. THEN I opted for the DEPO shot (NEVER AGAIN) and gained 35 pounds in 7 weeks. So, maybe there is hope for me this time around. Breastfeeding (on a proper diet) burns calories, right?

Okay, whine over... I've got a 3 year old with a flash light in my eyeballs. hahaha. Is it naptime yet?

Mandy you look great. You do NOT look 26 weeks pregnant and you will bounce back quickly when he's here. Breastfeeding burns on average a minimum of 200 calories a day. My numbers didn't go down till I stopped ( breastmilk does way quite a bit! ) but I did shrink down in size much faster when I breastfed. Just soak up this time with baby in belly, you never know if it will be the last time you get to experience it.

oh, don't get me wrong, the selfish moments are FEW and far between... I do love this pregnancy, SO much easier than with Colton! I just get down when I see that double chin... don't we all? LOL

thank you Sabrina- I guess breastmilk would weigh alot. LOL. good advice about not counting the "number" post-partum breastfeeding- I guess I'll hope my pants are too big instead! LOL
