Its got fancy tripod holder things here on the bottom in the front.

There is enough room for two DSLR bodies and 4 lenses in here. I don't have two bodies, nor 4 lenses, BUT I figure that I can put the point & shoot in here too (cause it has video capability). I have two lenses, but Cody keeps insisting on getting me the 50mm f/1.8 that we've seen (and I've drooled over) for about $100. I keep convincing him to wait, but he's insistent and I'm pretty sure I'll have it before Tyler is born- its a good low-light (AKA indoors) portrait kind of lens (*ahem* great for non-mobile newborns who can't run away from mommy, her camera, and her props she's already dreaming of!).
There's also 4 zipper pockets, something my old little bag clearly lacks! There is one on either side like this one, one in front near the buckles, and one in the lid of the bag. FINALLY I can carry my manual, notecards, filters, cleaning cloths, extra memory card, and even my chargers (for both cameras) and USB cables with me! I often went out without those things, or many of them stuffed in my (or Cody's) pockets. So... ZIPPER POCKETS rule!
Okay, enough weird camera-lady stuff. I gotta get my housework finished... after I fill my bag that is!!! Oh, its also water resistent, so when we go play in the pool, I can know my camera is safe when it sits on the lounge chair and dripping kiddos come up to get pool toys!
Update on us:
Last week was eventful. Colton wound up feeling and looking pretty sick Wednesday, he never complains at all, so when his ear started hurting, I decided I should take him to the pediatrician, since he has tubes in his ears. Better safe than sorry, right? Well, his left ear- the tube had come out of place and was in his ear canal. He had a little fluid in there, but he had a pretty good ear infection. His right ear, wasn't infected, but there was fluid in there, but doc couldn't tell if it was water from swimming or if it was sinus drainage. So we left the pediatrician's office with an antibiotic, ear drops for pain, and eye drops for the yellow gunk coming out of the corners of his eyes... as well as instructions to call his ENT (ear doctor). ENT couldn't get him in till today (Monday). But one dose of the drops & antibiotic before bed, found Colton waking up Thursday morning looking SOOOO much better. So we've kept that up all week, and he looks better and better. We're still going to the ENT after lunch to let Dr. Hammerick have a look-see though.
Saturday was the county's seized vehicle auction, and there were some pretty good prospective second cars there for us. Bluntly, on a police officer's salary alone, we can't afford a second car payment. Pretty sad huh? He can die at work and we can't even afford a clunker. So we took a leap of faith and asked the small town bank for a small loan for the auction. We got the money. Saturday seemed really well. There were a few families there- not a very large crowd at all, as well as some guys Cody works with, and everyone seemed to have picked out a car, and no one seemed to be interested in the same one. (there were only 15 cars).
20 minutes before bidding began, 3 dealerships pulled up. You can guess what happened next- they took nearly anything worth anything for families like us and left the junkie ones. We left rather disappointed, Colton was CRYING (the kid is seriously obsessed with vehicles!), but hoping for something at next month's auction.
Later that evening the guy who owns the shop that the county uses as the impound lot asked Cody how it went. So Cody filled him in. Frank told him to stop by Sunday morning after 11, he had a dodge durango that the county didn't want to deal with. So Cody went and checked it out. Its in pretty dang good shape for its age (2000) and mileage (at least 175k). So we decided to take it. We'll be paying only about $1200 plus cost of registration. We don't have it yet, because legally you have to send out a letter to the previous owners giving them a final 30 days to come get it. However, its been impounded for months, and was full of illegals when it was stopped, so its not likely it will be claimed.
I'll fill in more details on the car once its in our driveway, but its very exciting. My mom thinks Saturday was a sign from above that something better (and more affordable for us) was going to come along. I tend to agree with her. We could have afforded another car on Saturday, but we would have been squeezing it out of the bank account... this is MUCH MUCH better! =)
Okay, okay. I REALLY have to get busy, my best friend and her son are coming for a few days to hang out.. .and this place is a MESS!!!
