My best friend Jessi (like *this close* since 6th grade) and her son Travis, who is 6, came to visit us! Tuesday we found ourselves at the beach! It was a FANTASTIC day, not too much wind, the water was clear, no seaweed, it was super sunny, and, not too many people. We had our little spot all to ourselves. Despite applying and re-applying sunscreen, we all still got pink! My mom has me convinced its not so much a SUNburn but more like a heat burn because south Texas has been SOOOOO hot. I mean, its hot normally, and I love summer, but at 9AM this morning we already had a heat index of 100 degrees!
Anyway, here are some pictures of our boys becoming the best of friends- just like their mommas are!

How nice to be so close to the beach! Looks like lots of fun! Can't wait for the girls' first beach experience, but with this heat, it's looking like it might be next year!
