For $40 cash, I came home with flawless (like new) products that normally retail for $110 (plus tax)!
We got this farm exersaucer (retails for $59.99) for $20
And this blue bumbo sitter, retails for $40.00 with the tray that retails for $10.00, for another $20 total.
Plus, a few weeks ago, I came home with this for $30, retailed for almost $80 last summer and is no longer sold in stores. It was used 3 times.
I found all of the above on Craigslist.com. I have also bought all of my maternity clothes (new with tags) for less than 1/2 their new price off of ebay. Plus great baby items at the resale shop for less than $2 a piece. PLUS my hand made unique diaper bag from the same shop (only brand new and on consignment) for $20. I also have a hard time resisting the sales at Kohl's!
Cody says he is happy to have a wife that is not scared to buy used or to find a great deal. I say I am happy to find such great pieces second hand, its amazing what people will just "get rid of".
He DID ask me what people would buy us at the baby shower, and I said DIAPERS!! Haha. Seriously, I'll have Janel write it out on the invites like "diapers and baby essentials such as bibs, receiving blankets, pacifiers..."
