Colton had his first night in underwear last night! Well, first successful night. He's been daytime potty trained since just before age 2. Overnight, he'd wear a pull-up. We tried sleeping overnight in undies a few times, with no pressure of course. We'd give it a full week, but I was washing laundry daily, and Colton would sleep right through his accidents- and sleep in his pee. BLECH.
Last time we tried was January-February'ish. At that point I decided to wait until he had a dry pull up in the mornings. Well, he'd have one or two dry ones a week, and then last week, he was dry for 9 days in a row!
So last night, I stuck undies on him after his bath. Lo and behold- HE DID IT! He woke me up at 4Am and said he had to go potty, so I helped a sleepy boy to the potty and back to bed, praising him for a job well done. As I mentioned before, he'd sleep right through his accidents, so this was BIG news to wake up to go! =D I've never seen someone so happy at 4AM as he was!
He slept the rest of the night, till about 8am, and stayed dry!
I'm hoping this is it! I'll be so happy to not buy pull-ups anymore! Well, before we start stocking up on those diapers that is!!!
But if he's not ready, I'm not going to push him. But last night was a good sign. =) We may go buy some new special "good job" undies!
OH, his first swimming lesson is tonight!
