Bathroom Humor

I walked into the bathroom to hang up a towel, finding no need to turn on the light. Then my foot stepped in something wet. A big puddle.

Now, when you have a three year old, BOY especially, and you step in a big puddle by the toilet, your mind goes to one thing! So I shout "Colton, did you pee in the floor again?" (yes, again). To which he replied, "yeeeeeeeeEEeeees".

Great. So I hobble over to flip on the light. I find only a puddle of water, and yes, I smelled it to make sure.

So I ask again "Did you pee in the floor or play in the water?"
"I peed"
"Well, this is only water. What did you do?"
"I peed, but it was nacky (nasty) so I clean it up"
"How did you clean it up?"
"I get this cup (and he points to the bathtub cub) and stick it like this (reaching into the toilet) and get water and go like this (and simulates dumping water out on the floor)"
"Okay (pausing to think) well, thank you for cleaning up your mess. Next time let me know and we'll clean it up together so there isn't water in the floor. Okay?"
"Okay. It was just nacky momma"
"I know. Go play."

Then, I reached for my handy clorox wipes and a towel to finish mopping up the mess!

Now, I am glad he cleaned it up, but still...it was quite odd! Oh, and to add. I've never been one to be very deathly concerned with sanitizing. My home has been clean, but I've never felt the need to nearly sterilize anything. However, since Colton has been taking care of his own bathroom duties, I cannot seem to buy enough clorox wipes! Those things are heaven sent!

Things children make you do.

LOL! What a little sweetheart to try and clean up his own mess! What more can you ask for! Gotta love his technique, too!
