So, the days have gotten shorter- AKA the sun sets earlier in the day, it feels like that change popped up overnight! Yesterday, the sky was sooo blue and clear. It was amazing. The sun seemed further away from the earth. The grass, though still green, wasn't as vibrant or soft looking. The breeze was coming in from the northwest, as opossed to the southwest off the Gulf of Mexico.
All of my senses were telling me it was fall. Except...once you step out of your enclosed vehicle or home or store, you are quickly reminded that summer, in fact, was still hanging on! My cool skin quickly reacted to the 93 degree heat and began to sweat.
Oh fall, where are you?
We do have the windows open today (broken A/C unit), and I gotta say, it isnt too bad! Though the themometer says it is 90F with a heat index of 100F, and the wind is coming off the ocean again. Oh well, soon enough it will be here...right??
