April
In April, we got a new puppy! We actually got her on April 1st, and tried our hardest to fool Colton but he didn't fall for it. Apparently, the "I want a puppy"s were a little more hopeful and truthful than we thought of. Blogging world, meet Maggie!

April also found us back out at the baseball fields this spring! Can't believe that time is coming up again already!!! Colton played coach-pitch this season, and got to be a pretty good little ball player!
We also took a trip to the USS Lexington, that was a fun day! We hadn't been since Colton was two, I think. I don't think Tyler had ever been.
And of course, we took a trip to Windfest! I think the boys were the only two on this rickety coaster!
May
We found ourselves busy in May. I don't think I took many pictures. Between baseball, my crossing guard job, and the end of school, the days zoomed by.
We were very happy to catch the Budweiser Clydesdales getting geared up and hooked up to their wagon one afternoon. They were in town for Corpus Christi's Buc-days carnival & parade. They have always been one of my favorite "things" to see. I think I may have been a little more excited than the kids!
Swing! Batter batter!
We drove up to Port Lavaca one Saturday. Daddy was riding motorcycles with a friend, and we enjoyed the fun stuff at the destination of the "rally". There were competition lumberjacks there performing. Colton actually competed with another child and won the little wooden chair that one of the men carved with a chainsaw. Tyler picked up a slice of wood and they both got autographs and pics with the men. It was an impressive performance!
The temperatures finally reached a more normal range, so we hit the aquarium splash park as many times as we could!
Memorial day weekend found us having fun with our friends who had recently moved back to Austin. Burgers, mini-golf, and a beach walk on the island were on the agenda this night!
The same weekend, we went to Katie's new apartment complex, and enjoyed their pool... and played with our new underwater camera!
After the holiday weekend was the last few days of school. Here's the little man on his last day of first grade! He CRIED after school because he missed his teacher. Thankfully, she's still his GT teacher after school, and we still get to see her many times a week to give her a hug and hello. Seriously, she's the kind of teacher you won't forget! Thank you, Mrs. Segovia!
June
Summer break! YEAH!!!
The boys and I jetted out of town the FIRST Saturday of summer break. Just me and them went up to the SA zoo for a little mom and son bonding time. I was sad at first that dad would miss the fun, but it turned out to be kind of nice, I guiltily admit!
The other big event for June was heading up to Aunt Lindsey's house to go to a baseball game for Nana & Papa's anniversary, and to hang out with our family. We did the baseball game, went to the museum of the weird in Austin, & went swimming! Lexi came home with us and we hit the beach and were lazy in the A/C!
this is one of my favorite pictures from the summer!
The rest of June (and much of the summer) was spent with bike rides, swimming, and the beach. And the boys cooked a delicious dinner of banana nut pancakes & bacon one evening!
