My sweet Tyler Ray

Well, it seems like all the big stuff we do involves school or big kid things, so I wanted to write a little bit about Tyler.  He has fun doing whatever we do, but sometimes little man is in the spotlight too!

I've been babysitting an 8 month old baby, and Tyler is a great helper, loves to get me the diaper changing supplies, every morning he preps the baby toy box to make sure the baby can dump out the toys, he helps me get the baby's lunch and bottles prepped... he does really great!  Sometimes I see a little flash of "hey, that's my momma!" so we sit down and read or color while the baby dumps the toys out.  Tyler is still pretty shy, I'm trying to loosen him up a little, so we've been going to the library on Thursday mornings for storytime.. he is slowly coming around but still doesn't want to participate in the group exercise or silly things... but he likes the stories... progress I guess!  He's finally starting to talk a little more, but I still worry that he is behind, but he will come around soon enough. 

He is QUITE silly, at home, and idolizes his big bro. Colton has a little shadow ... we really preach on him about making good choices because his baby brother thinks he is the coolest person around.  Until last Wednesday, Tyler would not say Colton's name.  He would ALWAYS say BUBBA.  If I slowed it down (Col-ton), he'd say Buh-ba!...

And FINALLY FINALLY, he has mastered pedalling his trike! The big kids are always ridining bikes and Tyler just pushed his around and around... but I finally got him to sit on it and try, and haha! success!  Too bad his legs have outgrown it already! We've "tried on" a few 12" bikes at the store and he's just a tad bit short, so we are thinking of waiting until his birthday... even though that is at the end of summer... but what a great bday present!  Here's a few recent pics of the littlest man of the house!

I found myself with some free-time one afternoon naptime (what?!) and made up this cool little collage... it's pretty neat how his features are very consistent, even as a wee little baby!

So that's an update on my sweet little baby Tyler! I can't believe his birthday is just a few months away!
