I think I'm going to do the collage re-cap again, that was kind of fun and kept things streamlined!
First up... some preholiday Easter fun. Tyler and I went to Colton's kindergarten Easter egg hunt.. all three classes hunted eggs at the park (that Tyler and I helped hide) then there was a massive confetti egg fight... it was hilarious chaos! After the kindergarteners went back to school, I took Tyler to the public library's Easter egg hunt.. he had a great time there too, though he was being a bit shy and hung to my leg!
At home, we prepped for Easter by dying eggs AND carnations!
Easter morning, the boys found fun little things and yummy little things waiting for them in the dining room! I love these new little buckets, thanks Target, I think I might finally have Easter "baskets" for a few years, rather than find something new every year! I'll probably paint the boys' names on them though.
Easter, we went to church then spent the afternoon hunting ladybugs (we literally had an "infestation" or were at least the prime hatching spot)... egg hunting, and eating yummy treats with our friends at home.
The NEXT weekend was the big weekend in our area. Portland's annual Windfest and Sandfest in Port A always fall on the same weekend. Cody had to work the carnival and parade and his regular patrol shift- but the boys and I managed to see a little bit of everything... and NOT get sunburned!
We closed out the month quietly with at home evenings (seriously, love evenings in the summer) and celebrating Daddy's 32nd birthday. Life is grand!
In between it all, we STILL have tball practices and games. Colton's team is in third and heading to the season ending-tourney! Colton is SO good and has really strengthened as a baseball player, exclaiming "I'm going to play baseball every year!" Go Braves! Not to leave anyone out, Tyler was also subject to be a model for my camera lens a couple of times. I love this little boy... and while I've tried and been disappointed over not landing a teaching position, I'm SO SO SO grateful for the days I've gotten to spend with my Tyler, just me and him. It makes it all better! He's so different from his brother!
Unfortunately, May is winding up to be just as busy with end-of-school year things, but I plan on having a low-key, mostly-at-home summer vacation. A slower pace, relaxing time, cherishing my at-home time with the boys... point is: maybe I'll be able to more frequently update!

Oh my goodness... I haven't thought about dying carnations since I was in elementary school! What a fun project! Y'all live in such an exciting part of Texas! There's always something going on down there!
