I forgot to chronicle last year's Christmas, I suppose I could always go back and do it though, but did not want to skip this year's. Seems like the new year always gets off to a busy start, but Christmas was officially less than a month ago so I'm not too far behind.
You can re-visit the first night we arrived in Ruidoso
here, if you need a refresher!
Anyway, the next morning, Colton hardly wanted to eat breakfast first before bundling up and heading outside. Aunt Sarah promised him a surprise if he stayed inside (with the other boys) while my sisters, mom, and myself ran to town to get a few essentials.
She bought them two little sleds/discs and that is what we did ALL DAY LONG!

| I was so shocked at how much my warm-weather kids LOVED the snow! |
 |
| even our AUSSIE loved the snow, she was literally begging and asking to go outside constantly! |
I really love this photo of her!
 |
| up to his knees! |
 |
| just FUN with my kids |
 |
| a race! |
 |
| a tumor in his leg a year ago, and you can't stop my dad from acting like a kid! |
 |
| so pretty! |
Later that afternoon, we went half way up Sierra Blanca, but I don't have many photos of that because the snow was really coming down heavily. Ruidoso looked like a fake movie town to me. I hope to ge back simetime over the summer so we can do some more sight-seeing. The snow is beautiful, but it kept us pretty close to home since it was so heavy, so we didn't get to see much of the surrounding view!
Colton took a pile of photos with him for show and tell when he returned to school. His friends were pretty impressed with his Christmas vacation.
