Anyway, I did snag some gift opening photos, but I have to admit, after looking for the perfect shot all day, I just enjoyed seeing my kids' faces as they opened their gifts. Pictures are nice, but the time that they're little is SO short, so I love to laugh and giggle with them!
Luckily, Santa knew just where to find us, and left a pile of stuff at grandma and pi-pa's house.
Tyler opening his boy cabbage patch doll! He shouted "BABY" when he ripped open the paper! He plays with the babies at church all the time, so this was perfect (besides I don't have any daughters and used that as a bargaining chip when convincing Cody that his SON needed a doll!)
Colton had begged and begged for this right after Halloween, when he was a rodeo clown. I went when he was in school and stuffed in the closet for weeks until Christmas!
From Ruidoso, we made a stop in Artesia, NM to see my friend Franki (who I met through an online mommy community) then headed straight to Hutto to see the other half of our family. Colton did not fall asleep until Llano, TX, around 10:30pm the day we left NM. We were shocked!
Again, I spent more time laughing and getting to know the newest family member, my sister-in-law's beau. Distance keeps us apart enough, didn't need a camera lens in between us in person. Though, I do resolve to take more meaningful photos in 2012 than I did in 2011.
I forced him to stop and take a pic with me!
Hiding out under Aunt Lynz's table!
Colton & Lexi waiting for present time!
cousins!
boys will be boys... all day, everyday!
I have more random photos scattered on my computer, but have to go up to the school to help Colton's teacher. Maybe soon I can get them organized and share some more! Or post about our NYE campout!
