A nice afternoon

This past week the Corpus area was FINALLY graced with some rain. After nearly a year with virtually NOTHING, a huge dent was made in the 15 inch deficit. We're all SO thankful for the wet stuff, even if it does bring the mosquitoes! Which, by the way, grow rather large around here. Colton said to me today "momma, look, there's a very tiny bird on my arm!"... mosquitoes so big he thinks they're birds.

The clouds all drifted away today, but we were left with cooler temperatures (90 instead of 100), and a warm breeze. We sat outside on the front porch this AFTERNOON a good 2, 2 and a half HOURS. Colton played with his monster trucks and colored with sidewalk chalk on the patio, and watered the aloe vera. Cody and I just leaned back and enjoyed the quiet (strange for our apartment complex) and the sunshine. And Tyler snoozed in his stroller (the stroller canopy covers the whole thing like a bassinet so he had shade and the mosquitoes didn't bother him). It sure was nice!
