I'm updating. =)
Let's see, this week on Tuesday... wait, let me back track a bit.
My in-laws came down Saturday and stayed until Monday (wow, its already been a week?!). Anyway, Saturday night my incision started bleeding. YAY. So I called the OB's answering service and was told to keep it clean and covered. Tuesday was my appointment and doc did a swab of the fluid underneath to test for infection which we never got a call so we assume no-news is good news there. Doc and nurse drained my incision while I clenched Cody's hand. So now we have to wet/dry pack/dress the wound. The open spot is just a teensy place, doc says its all the fluid that was causing my bruising LAST week trying to escape, instead of my body absorbing it. Good news is: 1- I can move around now, 2- the bruising is gone, 3- I am back to my starting pregnancy weight just two weeks post-partum. Oh, and my hands and feet aren't swollen beyond belief anymore, and I actually work my wedding ring yesterday! I hadn't worn it since the end of April! It felt like I had a million dollars on my hand yesterday.
Anyway, the visit with my inlaws was good, even though I was dead-dog tired, it was nice to let them spoil "the boys".
Wednesday morning was Tyler's doctor's appointment, and his cord fell off! I hate those danged things. He is up to 5lbs 13.5oz, 18 inches long, and his head is 13.5 inches around. In other words, he's gained a whole pound since coming home on the 28the of August, and his length and head have increased by a half inch each since birth!
He is normally eating 2oz every 2 1/2 hours, but that time is getting shorter and shorter (and seems even shorter at night), so today we're trying 3oz bottles to see if he can keep it down (not spit it up) and go a bit longer, cause no sleep is catching up with us.
Colton is doing pretty good. He is sometimes too helpful if you catch my drift. Sometimes we have some "look at me moments" but if I just sit down and talk with him (about anything) that usually brings the crazy behavior back down a notch or two.
I know he'll adjust in time.
Long about Wednesday, I was feeling very emotionally and physically drained. I was feeling terrified and hopeless about all of this.
But I know that just like Colton will, I will adjust, we'll get a routine, the house will get back in order, my incision will heal... all will be well and happy. Cody goes back to work in two weeks, just after Tyler turns a month old.
I have an Uvalde/Knippa trip slated for the weekend of October 11th, for one of my best friend's baby shower- she was due 6 weeks after me, but with Tyler making an early debut, it seems like the babies will be 8-10 weeks apart in age, but it will still be fun!
I rarely post pictures on here anymore. I think pretty much anyone who reads this has contact with me via another source anyway.
I just like to gab and that's what I use my blog for. LOL

Ouch! I hope you heal quickly now. And CONGRATS on the weight loss! Very impressive! I lost all but 10 pounds in the hospital, but that 10 pounds took me 6 months to lose!!
