Greetings from the hospital...

...we finally had Mr. Tyler. He's a doll baby. He's so tiny. My blood pressure issues turned into toxemia, so my doctor sent me to L&D Tuesday. We were in the operating room right at 4pm and our fiesty 5lb'er came into the world yelling at the nurses.

He's a little one, that I haven't gotten to see much of. Okay, only about 10 minutes of. He's currently in the NICU because he won't drink from a bottle. First he was lethargic from high hemoglobin blood counts, then he just didn't want to eat, then he wasn't keepin himself warm... now we're back to not wanting to eat.

I finally got out of my 24 hour bed arrest, and I'm just waiting on Cody to get here. He took a tired Colton home to stay with Aunt Katie. I hope I'm FINALLY going to get to see my baby as soon as his dad gets here.

I am waiting on my nurses (who apparently don't share information) to come remove my bandages. Lying in bed for a day and a half, I was fine, but as soon as I stood up to come to the recovery wing, the tapes/bandages covering my incision is much too tight. Oh it hurt so bad, in addition to the you know, abdominal pain. I sure hope Cody makes it here before they start ripping crap off of me.

I'm ready to get out of bed, but I can't cause my incision is being pulled on so hard by the stupid tape!


I'm so happy to have my boys here. I'm really hoping and praying that Tyler decides he wants to eat, so we can pack our things and get the heck out of here! I had to leave Colton after I was discharged and that was hard. I'm hoping I don't have to leave Tyler, but if I do get released, I'll go home for my sanity. Not to sound like a pity party, but I feel the blues coming on, and I know time at home, even if just at night would do me good.


Its so weird to have a baby... but not be able to be near him.


We also have a few other gripes about hospital staff and patient communication...but I'm trying to keep my eyes on the picture of the teeny dudes on my phone. Colton is heartbreakingly missing me, but I know he needs home and rest. Eye on the prize first, THEN we'll gripe later!

We're all completely in love with him, and I can't wait till we're at home with our two boys!
