Seven years (and two days) ago

We got married!!! It has been a fast and exciting seven years for sure... raising a family just makes time tick by faster!

It was a rainy mucky day, very humid, but just before the ceremony began, the clouds let up for the evening, and we had our beautiful garden wedding!

A few months later, we welcomed Colton (maybe a little earlier than planned/expected) and we became a family!

Oh goodness, look how little he is! (2 weeks old)

I finally finished college, and we found out that baby #2 was coming!  In August 2009, Tyler made his arrival... I needed Cody more than ever just before Tyler's birth, and after, during my recovery.  He was my stronghold during a difficult and emotionally draining pregnancy and yet another c-section infection.

Our twosome had doubled to an outstanding foursome!

Now we're holding steady, ready for the next leap in our lives together... whatever direction it may be!  I'm so glad I have a man who really loves taking care of us, and someone I can tell my everything to.  He's my rock and the place I feel safe.  I love him SO much, that those words are the only thing I can think to express it.  I love you Cody!

This year, we went out for dinner in Port A and just took a nice, quiet drive down the beach, all the way to Corpus and around, stopping to get a snickers bar and soda at an island gas station for dessert.  It was nice, and strange, to enjoy pure quiet time just the two of us.  Thanks to Aunt Katie for watching the boys a couple of hours, especially since they were tired and very cranky!

I was inspired that morning and filled with warmth, I saw on the Today Show, a couple was celebrating their 75th anniversary on the same day as our 7th.  Pretty cool and I pondered what we would be like in another 68 years! Very inspiring, seeing this couple last through everything they must've seen in 75 years together... awesome!

Here's to another 7... or 75!
