The boys got to take their first "pony ride"... Colton was totally in LOVE with the ponies- as you'll see below. Tyler... couldn't get away fast enough. I loved having a horse quite literally in my backyard growing up. Babe was my best friend, especially in high school. If I wasn't with my best friend Jessi, I was out riding her on the weekends. When she passed away after we moved down here, I went home to mourn her, as if a human relative had died.
So as you can guess, Colton's enthusiasm for the four legged beauties totally made me proud. I myself couldn't stay away from them. They were little guys, but a girl takes what she can get. They still had that sweet sweaty horse smell. At the same time I just wanted to push Tyler towards them and make him like them, but I know that's not responsible parenting, blah blah blah. It pains me some days knowing my boys live in an apartment with street lights, dumpsters, and in the city. I can't wait to move them out and warn them about snakes and hogs, and have room for a horse or two of our own one day. *sigh* We're almost there!
