New news, including baby check up

All was good, blood pressure: LOW (had been high-ish the past week at the walmart pharmacy things)- 122/77, no bladder infection (YAY!) and I've only gained one pound!

Then we heard the heartbeat. The first nurse couldn't find it, so she went to go get the "pro-nurse" and she came in and found it, but the little jelly bean was swimming all around and wouldn't stay still long enough to count it, so it was taking FOREVER to find it...then... she says "There's two heartbeats"

Cody almost fell out of the chair, I stared at the doppler-bearing nurse, and the other nurse says "WHAT?!"

And the heartbeat finding nurse goes "yeah, the baby's and mom's!"

There was so much air let out into that room! It was so funny! Even the first nurse was in shock.

Then the hearbeat finding nurse apologized profously for how she worded that. We all had a pretty good laugh.

But the baby's heartrate was at 173/176- it was an active little booger and best we got was a "close to". I took my camera with hopes of recording a the heartbeat sound, but after we couldn't find it, I was more concerned about finding a good steady beat than getting it on video. So I'll do it next time.

We go back in four more weeks, I'll 15 weeks by then (ALREADY?!).

Things are good at home, I picked up a babysitting job- a three year old boy (and his older sisters after school). Carter will start coming here in two weeks, and his older sisters may not come till the summer time and next school year when they switch school districts. I had another lady call me this morning, asking about me watching her two year old... I'm on the fence. I mean, I have a possibility of developing high blood pressure again, do I really need the stress of 3 toddlers/preschoolers full time (counting Colton), then two older girls (that may be with me full time over the summer)...

I'd like to have the extra cash, but the stress on my health?? I don't know!

I finally got my camera- the Canon Rebel XTi. I love it, but its harder work/more learning than I realized it would be- but its welcome and I am ready and eager to learn.

Colton's been a turd this week, really making me stressed. But he's coming outta his attitude. He is experiencing his first grounding today too, he would not, I repeat NOT clean up his toys last night, so they are locked away from him today. He's not happy, but hopefully it will work.

Things are good!

Oh, Mandy, how terrifying and then funny! There's one to put in the baby book already, lol...high heartrate=possible girl?! =)
But then again, Carter's was all over the place my whole pregnancy--anywhere from 120s to 160s, hehe.
